Video editing can be a struggle, especially when you are trying to make your videos short and consumable on social media!

Most of us think that the hardest part of editing videos is trimming it down to make one great video. What if I told you that you had to do it two more times in order to get the video down to 15 seconds?? You would look at me like I am crazy right? The shorter the video, the tougher the edit.

I am here to let you in on a little secret…

A lot of videos have unneeded content. What you will struggle with most is making sure you keep all the right clips to get your point across. What you have to accept is that some of the great footage you captured at your shoot might go unused in order to make the edit work.

A simple way to shorten a 30-second video to a 15-second video is to cut out all the unneeded content. Easier said than done, right? The best way to tell if something is needed or not is by asking yourself the question “Does it makes sense without it?” If you answer yes, then cut it and don’t look back!!

If you want people on social media to watch your videos, they need to get your message across before viewers get bored and scroll away.

Get ready to make short videos that have huge impacts!
